On October 24th, Opening Ceremony for DPU International Students for the Academic Year 2019-2020, also Commendation Conference for Excellent International Students of Academic Year 2018-2019, was successfully held at Lecture Room of DPU library. Professor Rui Xiaomiao, President of Dalian Polytechnic University (DPU), Professor Ren Wendong, Vice President of DPU, and relevant responsible persons of schools and departments attended the ceremony. More than 200 freshmen from about 40 countries including Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, South Korea, Morocco, Botswana, Tanzania, Swaziland, and Liberia, attended the ceremony. Among them are doctorate graduates, master graduates, undergraduates, and language students. The ceremony was hosted by Yu Yan, Vice Dean of School of International Education.
Vice President Ren Wendong delivered a speech on the ceremony. He welcomed international students to study at DPU. He also introduced the achievements of DPU in international education. He hoped that all international students could treasure the opportunities and study hard. Teaching faculty representatives and student representatives also had speeches on the ceremony. They expressed their expectations on the new semester.
Then, President Rui Xiaomiao and Vice President Ren Wendong awarded the certificates to excellent international students and scholarship winners. The ceremony came to the closure in a cheerful atmosphere.
