On March 25th, with the promotion of the Office of American Educational Affairs of the Embassy of U.S.A. in P.R. China, Education USA, a delegation consisting of more than 34 American university representatives including University of Central Oklahoma, University of San Francisco, Central Christian College of Kansas, The University of Tennessee, and etc., visited Dalian Polytechnic University (DPU) and held a education fair of undergraduate and graduate.
Professor Ren Wendong, Vice President of DPU, had a cordial meeting with the delegation. He briefly introduced the global partnership and programs such as the dual degree program between DPU and University of Southampton. He pointed out that by 2019 DPU had established partnership with 98 universities and research institutes. He expected that exchanges between DPU and American universities would bear fruits and he also proposed the launching and establishing of diverse forms of exchanges like short-term exchange programs, teacher and student exchange programs, and academic exchanges and collaboration. At last, he wished a big success of the education fair.
Vice President Ren Wendong had a cordial meeting with the delegation.
On behalf of the delegation, Leonard Favara, President of Central Christian College of Kansas, thanked DPU Vice President Ren Wendong for the warm welcome and hospitality. He hoped that the visit and the education fair could help to build a bridge between DPU and American universities. He also hoped that they could bring DPU teachers and students information they were interested in.
Hundreds of teachers and students made inquiries during the education fair. American universities also had detailed discussion on teacher exchange program, “2+2”joint education program, academic exchanges, and joint master program.
