2021 Summer Vacation Notification

Dear International Students,

1.2021 Summer Vacation is from July 24 to August 28. Generally, students on campus are not allowed to leave Dalian during the holiday. If students have special request to leave Dalian, they must pay insurance first and submit “Application Form of Leaving Dalian”, “Parents Commitment Letter” and ticket, then get the approval from their mentor and Student Affair Officer Jim or Luke two days before your leaving. Students are NOT allowed to go to the medium or high risk areas.Students are also NOT allowed to stay out of campus overnight in Dalian during the holiday.

2.2021 Fall Semester will resume on August 29. All students are required to submit their payment receipts before August 29 to complete registration. Without completing the registration and insurance, students could not extend their visa. Classes for degree students will resume on August 30.

3.GYM Service

4. There are teachers on duty from each Monday to Friday 9:00-16:00 on campus. The office hour for Student Affair Officer is each Monday 13:30-15:00 .

5.To guarantee your personal security and property safety and guarantee you are safe, enjoyable and meaningful school life, please read this notice carefully.

1).Enhance awareness, do personal protections well. Participate in physical exercises actively, keep the dormitory clean, do a good job of personal hygiene, and obey the regulations of DPU during holiday and consciously conduct health monitoring in accordance with school regulations. Observe the school entry and exit regulations, do not go out unless necessary, keep fixed spaces of the learning and living, avoid crowds, especially places with poor air mobility, and maintain social distance in public places.

2).Learn safety tips and improve protection skills. Strictly prevent gas poisoning, accidental drowning, trampling, fire and other safety accidents to ensure personal and property safety. If you are confronted with confusions, such as academic, social or mental, you need to consult your mentor or Student Affair Officer.

3).Abide by the traffic laws and regulations consciously. Do not take a transport which is overloaded or without operating license, do not drive a vehicle or electric bicycle without licenses; do not operate drunk driving. Reduce outdoor activities on conditions of disaster weather such as fog, rain and so on.

4).Obey dormitory regulations carefully. When you go out, please lock up windows and door of dormitory, keep your valuable properties properly and be back to school early. Please pay attention to the safety of electricity, make sure you have cut off the supply of the electricity when you leave. Do not pull wires and use high-power appliances or inferior chargers, and cook ONLY in kitchen so as to prevent fire hazards.

5).Enhance cyber-security awareness, do not participate in the unfamiliar online games, live broadcast, QQ group, WeChat group or BBS. Please report it to the police immediately if one of the cases above happened. Please express your views rationally, do not make rumors, do not believe in rumors and do not spread rumors. Enhance the awareness of financial risks and do not participate in any kind of loans.

6).In case of leaving school, you also need to tell your roommates, classmates and parents of your personal whereabouts and contact information and make sure the communication tools are available. In order to prevent you from being tricked or deceived by illegal organizations, such as pyramid selling and cult, please first obtain the consent from the school and parents when you participate in activities such as volunteer work social practices.

7).Enhance safety awareness, take cautions of network frauds. Pay attention to your personal information safety and take cautions of various kinds of frauds like telecommunications and network.
