@Vol.1 1For residential students on campus Students on campus are required to sign in at the receptionist office weekly. Students are not allowed to use high-power electrical appliances, cook, or smoke in their accommodation on campus. Before going out ofcampus during holidays, it is necessary to conduct a safety check of the apartment, close doors and windows, pull up curtains, cut off water and electricity. Pay attention to safety when going out.Apartment will be closed at 22:30. It is prohibited to keep outsiders overnight at the school. International students who apply to leave the university or Dalian for accommodation should apply for leave in advance to the Student affairs Officer and leave after getting approval. If there is any change in the schedule, please contact Student Affairs Officer in advance. During the summer vacation, the SOIEwill conduct irregular safety inspection of the apartment, focusing on the high-power electrical equipment, constant light, people who keep outsiders on campus overnight. Once found, they will be treated asdisciplinary violations. 2.For international students in China Students are required to sign in online weekly.International students who live off campus or take leave for traveling should take good care of themselves. If changing accommodation address, please go to the local police station to change the accommodation registration form as soon as possible and report it to the Student affairs Officer for filing. ILLEGAL EMPLOYMENT AND PARTICIPATION IN ANY COMMERCIAL or NON COMMERCIAL EMPLOYMENT ACTIVITIES ARE PROHIBITED. @Vol.2 Safety Tips Traffic Safety International students who drive motor vehicles (including cars and motorcycles) in China shall have Chinese Driving License approved and issued by the Chinese Government Public Security Ministry. While driving, drivers must be on the right side of the road in China. Be aware of traffic safety and obey the traffic rules if you travel out of campus or outside Dalian during the holidays. We suggest you “Green travel and Safe riding”, taking public transportations. Be careful of the illegal taxi. Do not drive unlicensed motorbikes or electric bicycles，including riding with a passenger. Drunk driving is illegal. You shall wear a helmet when you are riding an E-bike. Fire Safety In the dormitories, it is forbidden to use any kind of super-high power electrical appliances. It is forbidden to carry and store hazardous articles, extend or connect electric wires arbitrarily without permission. Cooking in the room is NOT allowed. When you leave the room, be sure that you turned off the air conditioner, shower water heater, outlet and other electric appliances. Property Safety Secure the room doors, windows and power turning off when getting out. Properly keep credentials, money and valuables safe when shopping outside or taking a public conveyance. Make friends carefully. Taking strangers back to the dormitory without permission is not allowed. Whenever you notice any suspicious activity or crime, report it to the dormitory security guard and the teachers. Avoidance of Fraud Do not believe false information and keep cautious about doing money transfer affairs. If someone claiming himself or herself (themselves) as your teacher,classmate or friend or relatives calls you or asks you to borrow or lend money, do remember to certify in case of being scammed. Do go to the bank for exchange in case of being taken in trick for private business. Food Safety Do not buy food or beverage from web_the unlicensed operation. Do not be ingenuous in believing what others say and accept or consume the food or drinks presented or given by the strangers in order to avoid being defrauded No Alcoholism Do not have excessive drinking in and out of dormitory and campus. You cannot go out to get drunk and come back drunk during day and night. No Smoking on Campus Smoking at public places, campus, dormitory, classroom, dining hall and elevator is not allowed. Health and Safety Please go to a hospital for treatment as soon as symptoms like cold and fever appear.
